In tDCS saline solution is used for soaking the sponge pockets (electrodes).
Saline can be purchased at your local pharmacy or you can follow these simple steps to make it at home.
You will need:
• A clean, preferably sterile bottle with lid
• Pure table salt or sea salt (iodine free)
• A large pot
Steps:
1. Use 16 ounces of water (two cups) and 5.0 grams of salt (1 teaspoon) and place them it in a pot.
2. Place on stove top and bring it to boil for 10 minute (set timer).
3. Leave to cool. After cooling your saline it is ready to use.
4. Preserve it in a clean jar with a lid and refrigerate.
